I apologize in advance, but there is an 85% chance I will do this throughout the run of Elementary.

CRYING

I am so tempted to watch this show just so I can make fun of it. But I don’t know if I’m that masochistic.

There’s been a weird backlash among, I presume, fairly stupid people about the fact the shows are complicated and clever. We make no apology. Don’t expect to do the ironing. Sit down, pay attention and think about it. Audiences like complexity.

This is worse than I thought it would be.

This is bad, really bad.

bumpershoot answered your question: Does anyone know how many times Sherlock has been adapted into tv shows/movies?

I think it actually holds the world record for most adaptations. Including stage and radio plays, easily 200, but you may need to check that.

Ok, thanks. :)

I think this is actually an important part of Mycroft’s character that people tend to overlook in favour of the silly (and very enjoyable) cake jokes.

When Sherlock Holmes calls someone the most dangerous man you’ve ever met, I don’t think he’s speaking lightly. And I think a huge part of Mycroft’s danger is the very fact that he seems so innocuous. You’re chuckling along with him, chatting about this and that, thinking what a loveably clueless old thing he is, right up until the point where he tells you he’s poisoned your tea and would you be so kind as to tell him the name of the government Mole in your employ, because really, dead bodies do so clutter up one’s study.

YES THIS IS PERFECT ^
this is why he’s my favourite, ever. i mean, he corrected sherlock on his deducing, too. he’s a lot more smart/powerful than people realise i think, i mean, they make jokes about him controlling the government, but think about how serious that is for a moment.

It’s been said that you’re similar to Sherlock. Are you?
I’m like every character I’ve ever played. There is an awful lot of me that’s not like Sherlock but that’s the me to share with those I know and love.
